Aculab are UK-based company providing telephony products and solutions to worldwide customer base with over 30 years’ experience. Following the launch of their GroomerII product which is used in 9-1-1 emergency telephony environments Aculab used various server platforms for their solution, however after they came across Dell’s new telecom (NEBS) certified server R720t last year they were keen to evaluate it.
Dell OEM Solutions engineers started working on development of the t-series of PowerEdge servers a few years ago. Working together with various OEM customers in the Telecommunications industry the OEM sales teams and engineers were able to gather specific customer requirements for telephony & communications solutions and environments, and start working on OEM product development to meet those needs.
In 2012 the first two Dell OEM Solutions PowerEdge Carrier Grade servers, R620t and R720t, were launched, and more new features were introduced for to those servers in May 2013 based on our customer feedback and requests. Read the Aculab press release and case study to learn more about one of our telecom customer’s experience of working with Dell OEM Solutions, and what benefits the OEM-ready (available for customers’ own branding), NEBS-certified telecom server brings to their solution.
Ian Colville from Aculab sums up their reasons for choosing to work with Dell OEM:
We wanted a direct relationship with an OEM provider that invested as much time developing the services that wrap around its products and its support services as on the products themselves. We see our relationship with Dell OEM Solutions going from strength to strength. We believe it’s going to be of great benefit to Aculab, and more importantly, to our service provider customers.
Dell OEM Solutions will also be at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, on February 24 – 27th. Come and meet us there to discuss your telecom solutions!
