A former professional musician, Franklin Flint has worked for Dell since 1995. At Dell he has performed many roles ranging from Network Sales Engineer and Network Sales Support Specialist during which time he earned industry networking certifications including, among others, Cisco’s CCIE, 3Com’s 3Wizard, MCSE + Internet, Novell’s CNA, Bay Networks Router Certs. He then moved into enterprise IT technical sales support as a Large Enterprise Systems Engineer, Global 500 IT Systems Consultant, and Large Acquisition IT Solutions Consultant prior to joining the OEM Solutions Group as a Senior OEM Solutions Consultant in 2001. Franklin spent the first nine years in the OEM Solutions Group working directly with Dell’s largest OEM customers. Using his industry expertise in Digital Cinema, Casino Gaming Technology, and general computing industry knowledge, Franklin published several articles in various trade magazines and worked as the strategy lead in the OEM technical sales organization. In early 2010 Franklin moved from his leadership role in OEM technical sales into a Global OEM Marketing Technology Evangelist role where he generates thought leadership for the OEM PC industry, provides technical guidance on marketing programs, and develops technology strategy to the OEM organization at Dell.
